Staff recommends extension of bid. | BACKGROUND:
On March 11, 2020, Council accepted the bid from Lehr Auto Electric for 38 laptop computers for staff in various City departments as part of the normal 4-year replacement schedule. The Technology Services division has since received and deployed those units. An additional order of 85 units will complete the planned replacement of laptop computers for the Police Department for the current budget year.
Lehr Auto Electric has agreed to extend the same per unit cost for 85 laptop computers. Funds are budgeted in the Equipment Management fund for this purchase.
Staff recommends extension of bid and authorization to purchase 85 Panasonic Toughbook MDCs and accessories from Lehr Auto Electric, Sacramento, California for $404,193.63.
