Fleet Division staff applied for a Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) Grant to offset costs of the purchase of three street sweepers for the street sweeping section within Public Works Streets Division. The California Air Resources Board program accelerates the purchase of cleaner, more efficient trucks and buses in California.
The grant request was approved and City received the grant totaling $135,000 for the replacement street sweepers.
This appropriation reimburses the Fleet Equipment Management Fund for purchase of the three street sweepers for the Streets Division.
