The Stockdale Hwy and Enos Lane / SR 43 Roundabout Project replaces the existing all-way stop controlled intersection with a single-lane, yield-controlled roundabout. The project is being built on a dual-lane roundabout footprint to provide for future expansion. The project will improve traffic flow through the intersection. By design, roundabout intersections promote continuous traffic flow by incorporating channelized approaches, yield-control entries, one-way traffic movement and slow travel speeds. The roundabout project not only reduces traffic congestion and vehicle delays, but also improves air quality by reducing the number and duration of stops made by vehicles at the intersection.
NV5 has provided the construction management services throughout this project. The project started later than originally planned and therefore the agreement needs to be extended in order for NV5 to complete their scope of work. The original agreement will expire June 30, 2020. At this time, an amendment is needed to extend the term date to December 31, 2020, allowing NV5 to continue to provide services through the completion of the project.
The total compensation is not changing and no additional funds are needed. There is no General Fund impact associated with this amendment.
