The City of Bakersfield desires to provide sewer facilities for a rapidly developing area generally bounded by McCutchen Road on the north, Sunset Branch Railroad on the east, Taft Hwy on the south and Gosford Road on the west, as shown on the map entitled “Gosford Road Planned Sewer Area” attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated by reference. The total estimated construction cost of the sewer line to serve the entire benefit area is $3,327,998. There are a total of 2,452 edu's for an estimated cost of $1357.26 per single family dwelling. The parcels within the Gosford Road Planned Sewer Area will receive a benefit from the sewer system shown in Exhibit “A”.
The developer of Tract 6859 will construct a portion of the sewer system shown in Exhibit “A” and the remaining parcels shall construct sewer system along their parcel frontage and/or fund their proportionate share of the sewer system shown in Exhibit “A”. Parcels which construct more than their proportionate fair share of the sewer system shown in Exhibit A shall be reimbursed through credits towards sewer fees of the corresponding project or as new developments and existing parcels within the Gosford Road Planned Sewer Area connect to the sewer trunkline.
This resolution adopts the Gosford Road Planned Area.
This ordinance adds the Gosford Road Planned Sewer Area to the list of sewer areas for which developers and residents are charged at time of development or connection to pay the cost of constructing the sewer facilities.
